Neighborhood Meeting May 26, 2026

This was our first time trying out a hybrid meeting with in-person and zoom options for joining.  We thought it went very well and was able to capture more attendees!


Meeting Highlights


  • Treasurer Update:  Doing great but please donate to help replenish our funds for future activities like the picnic!
  •   Board Elections:  Welcome to Thomas Sanbeg, who joins us as the new Member at Large!
  • Lt. Quiggle from the Kirkland Police Dept shared great stories about Kirkland as well as crime rates in Everest and overall Kirkland.  (Powerpoint available below)
  • Kraken Complex update from Jim Lopez (It's in design phase!)
  • Neighborhood Safety Programs (A project for Everest has been approved!)
  • Kirkland Tool Library is coming soon!

Thomas Sanbeg as Member at Large

Thomas recently moved to Kirkland & quickly identified that Kirkland is unique among the cities that make up Seattle's Eastside.  The thriving community here has made Kirkland a special place to live & Thomas hopes to play his part in strengthening the sense of connection we feel to our neighborhood.
